The COREBOT is a self-driving, six-wheel drive rover and  a serious chunk of machinery. It weighs in at over 500 pounds and is approximately the size of a typical ATV. It is envisioned that the COREBOT will work as the core autonomous platform and power pack for a larger suite of products.  Data from drones and outputs from Azure Machine Learning in the cloud must be brought together and be shown on the ground, so operators can review and be sure the machine can do its work. Once the machine has the downloaded mission plan, it can use its local logic to do the work. While it’s running, informational messages, alarms, and data in near real-time needs to be sent back to remote operators and data logging systems.

Attend this session to learn more about how we are using Azure IoT services, Beckhoff Automation controller, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB operating systems to fascinate the workflow communication to and from the rover. Learn why we envision Azure will enable us to keep building and extending the system as we find new opportunities and use cases for our machine. Learn what tools we are using to create a seamless and efficient workflow between drones, operators, machine learning, and swarms of rovers on the ground.
